Over 100 Career and Technical Education students from WSWHE BOCES competed in the 2023 SkillsUSA Area III competition alongside students from Capital Region BOCES, Champlain Valley Educational Services, and Questar III.
The competitions were held at Schenectady County Community College, Capital Region BOCES, and the International Union of Operating Engineers (Local 158).
SkillsUSA competitions measure students’ skills in their chosen field of study including criminal justice, cosmetology, HVAC, advertising design, food preparation, carpentry, welding, auto repair, first aid/CPR, and much more. Students must complete an assignment against each other and the clock and have their efforts judged by leaders in business and industry.
Isabelle and Isabella move on to the NYS Competition in Syracuse from April 26-28, 2023.
