Dear Fort Ann School Community,
Though there was no threat against Fort Ann School, out of an abundance of caution, our law enforcement partners at the Washington County Sheriff's Office thoroughly searched our district, including the use of specially trained K-9 units, and it has been cleared.
We are planning on operating as normal tomorrow. We will do another sweep of the building tomorrow morning before everyone arrives.
I know that it may be hard discussing recent events with our children. Even though we were not directly threatened, it may have brought up many questions and emotions. Our school counselors and psychologists have found a few materials that may help.

We will also have staff available to talk with students.
This is a stressful time for all of us. I appreciate everyone's understanding, and patience. Please reach out if you have any questions at 518-639-5594. The safety and well-being of our school community is, and always will be, our first priority.
