K-5 Character Education

The goal of the Character Education program in the Elementary School is to teach core character traits and to encourage all students to be positive role models throughout the school year. Students learn what it means to be a person of good character and how to appropriately respond to difficult situations that may arise. Students become linked to the school community during school-wide activities and Cardinal Pride is displayed at the Character Education assemblies throughout the year.

The Character Education traits for the year are:
September/October: Responsibility
November/December: Honesty/Caring
January/February: Anti-bullying
March/April: Courtesy
May/June: Respect/Self-Esteem
