Dear Fort Ann Students, Parents, Faculty, Staff,

The Fort Ann Central School District would first and foremost like to send warm wishes to you over the holiday break. We hope you can share these upcoming days with your loved ones and take some much-needed time off to rest, relax, and reflect on these past few years. Both in our personal lives as well as here in the district, let us appreciate all that we have been able to accomplish during what certainly have been the most challenging school years in our lifetime. Despite the difficulties that the pandemic has faced us with, we can confidently say that our district families and community have been instrumental in helping keep our schools open, and for that, we thank you.

As we look towards the new year, we have a few items to share regarding structural changes in our administration team. This past Spring, we announced that our Superintendent, Mr. Kevin Froats, will be retiring on January 3, 2022. We thank him for his dedication to our district and wish him the very best in his retirement. Mr. Froats has always kept the interest of the students and our entire community as his primary concern and worked tirelessly to ensure that our district remains a point of pride in our community. Thank you, Mr. Froats!

Taking his place will be a familiar face within the district, Mr. Justin Hoskins. Mr. Hoskins has been our High School Principal for the past five years and has been a wonderful asset to the district. We look forward to seeing all that he can accomplish as our new district superintendent.

We are also incredibly pleased to share that Mrs. Nichole Huskie, our Junior High School Science Teacher, will be our new interim High School Principal. We are confident in her abilities to lead our middle school/high school team and we look forward to working with her in this new position.

As we continue communications, we will be sending out a community newsletter in the new year expanding on all of these changes and sharing more about the exciting news happening in the district.

Until then, happy holidays, and we will see you in the new year!
