AM I ELIGIBLE FOR A BOOSTER DOSE YET?
The
NYSDOH - New York State Health Department has updated their "Booster Doses" site in accordance with the changes recently announced by the federal government. There are now booster recommendations for all three COVID-19 vaccines available in the United States. The CDC and New York State Department of Health recommend that certain individuals who received a Pfizer-BioNTech or Moderna COVID-19 vaccine at least six months after their initial series get their “booster dose.” These individuals include those who are 65 years and older and individuals who are 18 and older who live in long-term care settings, have underlying medical conditions, or who work or live in high-risk settings. Additionally, booster doses are recommended for all individuals 18 and older who received the Janssen/Johnson & Johnson COVID-19 vaccine at least two months ago. For more info about Booster shots and to find out if you're eligible, check the state's site here:
ny.gov/boosters
Those who wish to receive the COVID-19 vaccine at one of our clinics should:
- Bring Identification
- Wear a short sleeve shirt
- Plan to stay for at least 15 minutes following vaccination for monitoring
IF one of our events does not fit in your schedule, be sure to check with your local pharmacy or healthcare provider too! Vaccines (including booster doses) are available in many different locations! THANK YOU for helping us to #vaccinatewashingtoncounty !

Tim
