The following message is from The Lake Placid Institute:

We are excited to announce the winners of the 2022 24 Hours: A Photographic Interpretation of Life in the Adirondacks.

This year we received a record number of photos from a record number of schools. We had 6 new schools participate in our program and the quality of the photographs made it very hard to narrow it down to just a few winners. This year’s juror, Emily Vallee from Skidmore College selected the Overall Winners, Honorable Mention and several for their techniques used. Our board selected their favorites for the Lake Placid Institute Board Favorites category.

Since there were so many photos to choose from and we just couldn’t leave some out, we asked the juror to help us group additional selected photos by themes such as nostalgic, bewildering, mesmerizing and more.

The following winner from FORT ANN:

Shaye Meschino,

Most Harmonious

The winning photos will be on display at the Lake Placid Center for the Arts until April 2, 2022. I am dropping them off today for them to be displayed.  The gallery is open Wednesday- Saturday from 1-5 pm.

We also will have them on our website by March 15th,
