Dear Fort Ann School Community,
Today, the District learned that an individual in the Elementary School has tested positive for COVID-19. This individual will have to quarantine and be cleared by the Department of Health before returning to school.
As a result, any individuals known to be in close proximity to this individual have been contacted to discuss any quarantine procedures and other health-related instructions.
Please note that The Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) and other privacy laws restrict us from disclosing or confirming any personally identifiable information. We cannot identify anyone who has tested positive.
Our goal in sharing this information is to ensure that our district families are always up to date with what is happening in our community. This notification to parents and guardians is part of our commitment to keeping you informed about the spread of COVID-19 cases.
Please feel free to contact your child’s school office if you have any questions. As always, we will inform you if there are any new cases within our district.
